Mykel Parham – The six-foot-one-inch fourth-year forward Mykel Parham has been a key player to VCU’s success on both sides of the ball; she leads in blocks and rebounds both defensively and offensively, according to ESPN. She is averaging 8.0 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game, which are team highs, according to ESPN. She has also started every game this season, according to Sports Reference. This is a very big game for VCU this season as the Saint Joseph’s Hawks are first in the A-10 and Star forwards Talya Brugler and Laura Ziegler are going to be key players for Mykel Parham and this VCU team to keep under control.

Talya Brugler – The six-foot-one-inch third-year forward Talya Brugler is dominating the court this season. Brugler is currently leading the Hawks, averaging 16.6 points per game, according to ESPN. Brugler’s contributions are not only in her scoring — she also averages 4.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, according to ESPN. With an average of 31.6 minutes per game, Brugler continues to help lead the Hawks to victory. Recently, Brugler had her season high, scoring 30 points against the University of Massachusetts, leading the Hawks to a victory. VCU will have to keep Brugler off the scoreboard to take home a win.

Laura Ziegler – Standing at six-foot-two-inches, second-year forward Laura Ziegler has been a difference-maker on the hardwood this season. Ziegler leads the Hawks in three statistical categories, averaging 10.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and one block per game, according to ESPN. Ziegler is also top two in the A-10 conference in defensive rebounds with 185 and defensive rebound percentage with 28.6%, according to Sports-Refrence.com. Ziegler missed the last two games against Loyola Chicago and the University of Massachusetts but recently put up 14 points, 10 rebounds and two assists against Davidson, according to ESPN. SJU hopes for a similar production out of Ziegler to maintain their reign over the A-10.
