The Rams will open the season Nov. 5 against St. Francis (Pa.) and will host North Texas on Nov. 8. VCU will play its first six games of the season at home before playing in the Emerald Coast Classic on Nov. 29-30 in Niceville, Florida.

This is another great VCU non-conference schedule. Our team knows we have our work cut out for us,” coach Mike Rhoades said in a statement. “We are excited to host some great teams in the Siegel Center in front of the best college basketball fans around. We’re going to play a number of teams fighting for the NCAA Tournament and league championships like us.”

LSU, headed by former VCU coach Will Wade, will visit the Siegel Center on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. and will be one of four nationally televised non-conference games. The Tigers and Rams will appear on ESPN2.

The Rams will also play on national television in the Emerald Coast Classic and will appear on NBC Sports Network in their final non-conference game against Loyola (Md.) on Dec. 29.
