On Tuesday, March 10, senior guard/forward Treveon Graham, senior guard Briante Weber and redshirt-sophomore Mo Alie-Cox were honored as Atlantic 10 elite players.
In his senior campaign, Graham was named to the A-10 First team roster. Graham is the first VCU player to be named to the A-10 First team in consecutive seasons. Graham has been named to the A-10 teams the previous three seasons.
Graham finished the regular season averaging 16.2 points per game. Additionally, Graham’s 454 points moved him to third all-time on VCU’s scoring list with a career total of 1,803.
Each year since 2012, Weber was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Year.
Missing the previous 10 games of the season because of a knee injury, Weber finished with 78 steals on the season, 12 shy of topping the all-time steals chart. Injured on Jan. 31, Weber still led the nation in steals for the duration of the season.
Alie-Cox was named to the A-10 All-Defensive and All-Academic teams. Alie-Cox played in all 31 games this season and tallied 64 blocks and 24 steals on the season. Alie-Cox ranked second in blocked shots averaging 2.5 per game. Alie-Cox’s 112 blocks ranks ninth in the programs’ history.
A criminal justice major, Mo-Alie Cox posted a GPA of over 3.0 as a sophomore.
As of press, VCU will play Fordham at 2:30 p.m. at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
