Panda Express finally on the horizon

Earlier Friday, @VCU tweeted that Panda Express, after much anticipation, will have its grand opening on Feb. 11.
The celebration, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will include a prize wheel, giveaways, and Panda Express’ mascot, Eddie the Panda.
This comes after a long series of delays that pushed the opening of the restaurant back months. The location was supposed to open on the Jan. 27.
It was stated in an earlier interview with VCU Dining that this will be a “soft-opening,” meaning the restaurant will be fully operational the day prior to the grand opening. This is done in order to prevent an overflow of customers.
Students will not be able to use their dining blocks during the grand opening celebration. This was done to prevent an overflow of customers.
Students hoping for a free meal, however, could get lucky in the giveaways, which will offer free samples.
