VCU announces new provost, begins in March

Virginia Commonwealth University announced Gail Hackett as the new provost and vice president of academic affairs today in an email sent by university President Michael Rao.

A jump in the James can help to preserve river

Registration is open for volunteers to clean up the James River on Jan. 31, and brave souls are invited to jump into the frigid waters afterward to raise money for the river’s conservation.
