Shot fired in on-campus robbery
An armed robbery occurred on the 900 block of West Marshall Street at 1:40 a.m. this morning, according to a VCU alert.

An armed robbery occurred on the 900 block of West Marshall Street at 1:40 a.m. this morning, according to a VCU alert.
Two suspects, both with semi-automatic handguns, approached four victims and demanded them to empty their pockets as they displayed their firearms. A single shot was fired as the victims were complying with the demands of the assailants. No injuries were reported.
The first suspect is described as a black male 6’2”, skinny build and wearing an all dark hoodie and shorts. The other suspect is described as a black male 6’4”, medium build and wearing a black hoodie.
Suspects were last seen in a red sports utility vehicle traveling east toward Belvidere Street away from campus.
The robbery occurred within the VCU PD jurisdiction, but was reported by Richmond PD.
VCU students were informed of the incident via email at 3:13 a.m.
