  1. Strike while you’re hot! Personally, I’d like to see VCU play on the biggest stage possible. Ram Basketball is now nationally known as tough, fearless – fun to watch. They are led by a young, charismatic coach who has earned the respect & admiration of basketball analysts and sports reporters across the country. He has personality & intelligence, he’s well spoken, interesting – and he can coach. He won a CBI Championship his first year in charge, in season 2 he orchestrates one of the most amazing Final Four appearences in college basketball history – the amazing “First Four to Final Four” run. His third year he loses almost all of the main players from his Final Four team, has one of the nation’s youngest college basketball teams and still takes them back to the NCAA Tournament, where he comes within a whisker of advancing to the Sweet 16! His 9th youngest team in the country wins 29 games, the most wins in a season in VCU history. Oh, and after each of the past two seasons he is offered, but turns down, the head coaching job from some of the best programs in the top conferences, along with their annual multi-million dollar salaries. All because he loves VCU and has goals of making it an even better program. WOW! Like I said, I would like to see this continue to play out on a bigger stage. However, I’ll leave this up to Shaka and Norwood. After all, they seem to have made all the right calls so far!
