Yet again, Occupy Richmond is looking for a new location for their permanent occupation after being removed from Monroe Park last night.
Richmond Police arrested two occupiers, Eric Scott and Hunter Singleton, and bail has been set at $5,000 for Scott and $7,500 for Singleton. The Occupy Richmond group will seek to have the bail lowered for both Scott and Singleton.
In an effort to reorganize, the group met today in Monroe Park around 1:30 p.m. to discuss new locations. Their website stated that the group is planning to unofficially occupy the Canal Walk near 12th Street.
As of now, the group has not announced a new permanent location for occupation but is focusing on gathering bond for the arrested occupiers.
The group will also hold another meeting tonight around 6 p.m. at Festival Park near 6th Street.
