Game Notes:
After a tough home loss to Old Dominion that snapped a 22-game home win streak, VCU will look to get back on track as they face the Patriots of George Mason, who currently stand alone at the top of the CAA standings.

If VCU can pull off a victory against George Mason Tuesday it will win the tie-breaker – due to the two teams only meeting once this year – and have sole possession of first place in the CAA.

The Rams have won six of their last eight meetings with the Patriots dating back to 2007.

Each team will be looking for a bit of momentum heading into its respective ESPN BracketBusters game with VCU facing Wichita State while George Mason squares up against Northern Iowa.

Tuesday’s match features the CAA’s top two teams in the standings and in scoring with George Mason averaging 74.5 points per game while VCU puts up 73.3 per contest.

The Rams will have to be tight on defense as they face a Patriots team that regularly shoots just under 50 percent (.481) which is good for 15th in the nation.
