Field Hockey
VCU opened up the weekend Friday night in a disappointing loss to Old Dominion after two late second-half goals to give the Monarchs a 4-2 victory.
The weekend took a shift Sunday when the Rams traveled to William & Mary Sunday afternoon and came away with a 4-1 win. The Rams are now 13-5 overall, 5-2 in the conference.

Women’s Soccer
VCU jumped out to a 2-0 lead against Old Dominion with goals from Taryn Cressey and Azania, both assisted by Villanova transfer Carly Edgcomb. The Monarchs would cut into the lead with a goal late in the first half but it was too little too late as the Rams came away victorious 2-1.
Sunday afternoon brought a change of scenery as William & Mary went up by two goals in the first half with VCU never recovering in a 3-2 loss to the Tribe. Azania netted both goals for the Rams (6-8-4, 2-6-2).

Volleyball
The Rams produced two straight sweeps this weekend over UNC Wilmington and Georgia State.
On Friday the Rams defeated the Panthers 3-0 (25-10, 25-19, 28-6) with help from Marisa Low who tallied 21 digs.
Saturday spelt a familiar story as VCU trumped the struggling Seahawks 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-14). Kelsie Clegg and Kristin Boyd combined for 21 kills to help the Rams to a 9-16 overall record, 7-2 in the conference.
