Player of the Week:
Christina Mastropaolo, Sr., Forward, Drexel
– The CAA preseason player of the year broke four school records with a five-goal performance against Hofstra. Mastropaolo secured records in goals per game (5), points in a game (10), career goals (53), and career points (125).

Rookie of the Week:
Rachel Wein, R-Fr., Midfielder/Forward, James Madison
– Wein notched her second goal of the season in the Dukes’ 3-2 win over Longwood last week. She now has five total points in the 2010 season.

Notes:
– Drexel and Old Dominion remain ranked in the 2010 Kookaburra/NFHCA Top 20 poll, the Dragons dropping two spots to No. 18 and the Monarchs remaining at No. 20. James Madison and VCU are third and sixth leading vote-getters, respectively.
– After the start of in-conference play last week, four CAA teams have posted unbeaten league records. VCU opened in-conference play with a pair of wins for the first time in school history along with JMU which also stands at 2-0. No. 18 Drexel and No. 20 ODU are also unbeaten in the CAA standing at 1-0.
– VCU senior midfielder Marle van Dessel ranks in the top 25 of all Division I active leaders for goals scored with 29 so far in her collegiate career.
