Player of the Week:
Amy Turner, So., Defense, Hofstra
– Turner scored the game-winning goal for Hofstra and led a defense that posted back-to-back shutouts against two regionally ranked opponents last week.

Rookie of the Week:
Zoe Doherty, Jr., Forward, George Mason
– Doherty registered two goals including the game-winner to lead George Mason to a 4-3 win over UMBC last Wednesday.

Notes:
– All 12 CAA teams will open conference play this weekend, games will be on Friday and Sunday.

– Five CAA women’s soccer teams were among the top 10 in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic regional rankings released on Sept. 13. Hofstra topped the CAA in the poll at No. 2 with William & Mary at No. 5 and James Madison at No. 6. Northeastern and VCU ranked No. 9 and No. 10 respectively.

– Three CAA women’s soccer players were among a select group of 45 named to the Watch List for the Hermann Trophy which is awarded to the nation’s No. 1 player at season’s end. Chosen were George Mason senior midfielder Omolyn Davis, Northeastern sophomore forward Devin Petta, and James Madison senior midfielder Teresa Rynier.
