With all the excitement surrounding the new basketball season it is easy to forget that VCU will be hosting the CAA volleyball tournament for the first-time this week.
The Rams finished the 2009 regular season 24-8, with a 12-2 mark in the CAA and with late-season wins over Delaware and George Mason, VCU was able to seal the regular season title.
VCU plays William & Mary Monday at 7 p.m. at the Stuart C. Siegel Center, a game which will be proceeded by the other semi-final, Delaware/George Mason at 4 p.m.
The title game will be played on Tuesday at 7 p.m. between the winners of those two games. The champion will be awarded an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
