Investigation for former VCU police chief reopened after 5k

The investigation into the case of Willie B. Fuller was reopened Oct.13, after the former VCU police chief was seen at a 5-kilometer walk on Brook Road the previous Saturday. Charges had been dropped on Sept.10 because of a brain injury, from which Fuller was deemed incapable of aiding his own defense.

Commuters go the distance

The choice to commute to campus rather than live in dorms is one a majority of VCU students must make, a decision some commuters said leaves them more disconnected from campus life than on-campus students.

Business conference addresses job market

Only 19.7 percent of spring 2009 graduates who have sent out a résumé have a job, according to a recent survey by the National Association of Colleges & Employers. Even worse: Fewer than 60 percent of undergraduates have bothered to look for employment.

Natural causes indicated in GRC death

Police received a phone call at 9 a.m. reporting a student was unconscious in the Gladding Residence Center but as officials arrived on the scene the student was pronounced dead, according to the Director for Communication and Public Relations for VCU Pam Lepley.
