An eerie night with ghostly residents

The backdrop for the Capital Creepers’ “Eerie Nights” ghost tour is nothing short of ideal. Located next to the historic Main Street train station at the 17th Street Farmer’s Market, the tour path allows for not only a fun-filled, spooky night but a unique way to see downtown Richmond.

The location is key, but so are the 19th century “ghoul guides,” Prudence, Annie Mae, Adella and Eldridge, who stay in character throughout the entire tour. Perhaps the most fascinating part of the tour is asking the ghoul guides about their pasts. They’ll gladly share and answer questions that pop into visitors’ heads.

The stops on the tour progressively get creepier. The “Eerie Nights” tour stops at staples like the governor’s mansion and the Main Street train station, but there are unconventional stops as well, each with its own dreary story. This is highly recommended for visitors who have a good imagination, want to be spooked and see a different side of Richmond.
