Q: Why field hockey?

A: “I started playing it in sixth grade and I really liked how it was a team sport . It was really intense. I like how it was the girl version of football.”

Q: What sport would you be playing if you weren’t playing field hockey?

A: “I would want to be a pretty good gymnast. I think they’re pretty cool how they get to flip around.”

Q: Who has influenced you most in your life?

A: “My dad, I always want to make him happy. He was always really big into sports and always pushing me.”

Q: If you were your coach, what would you say that you bring to the table?

A: “I would like to think she thinks I bring leadership; I hope she thinks I am a good captain.”

Q: Best moment?

A: Back in high school when we won the state championships (senior year).”

Q: Worst moment?

A: “Freshman year, here. I was adapting a lot.”

Q: Who is your favorite athlete?

A: “Jeff Rouse (Olympic gold medal swimmer from Fredericksburg) because I met him. He’s a pretty good swimmer.”

Q: How would your teammates describe you off the field?

A: “I’m pretty easy to talk to; I guess they can relate to me that way. I am approachable as a captain, and I like to have fun.”

Q: What are you going to do after college?

A: “I want to move either to Florida or California and work for one of the big four accounting firms. And travel.”
