The sixth annual Slaughterama, a gathering for local bike enthusiasts, attracted hundreds this weekend. The event was organized primarily by local bicycle club, the Cutthroats. As a majority of the planning happens by word of mouth, Slaughterama is not publicly organized or advertised.
Although events were spread out over the entire weekend, this year’s main event was held at Belle Isle on Saturday. The weekend’s events included a citywide scavenger hunt, team bicycle jousting and an egg and spoon race. All events incorporated the use of bicycles.
