VCU to dedicate new critical-care hospital
VCU is opening a 367,000-square-foot hospital, the state’s only facility devoted solely to critical care.

The 15-level hospital has intensive care units for patients requiring neonatal, surgical trauma, burn center, neuroscience, medical respiratory and oncology services. It also features 10 new operating rooms and expanded emergency care services.
University President Eugene P. Trani said the state-of-the-art facility combines decades of experience and research with the newest technology.
