Braves say goodbye to Richmond
The Braves’ 43-year run in Richmond is over.
The Atlanta Braves’ AAA farm club played its final game in Richmond Monday. The baseball team is moving to Gwinnett, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta, next season, after four decades of play in Virginia.
The move leaves the future of minor-league ball in Richmond uncertain.
Monday’s finale was against the Norfolk Tides.
