BASEBALL Head coach Paul Keyes received good news during the NCAA early signing period, as five players inked with the Rams. Four of the five hail from the Richmond metro area while one is from Northern Virginia. The local players are: Brent Mikionis, a middle infielder from Powhatan High School; Joshua Alford, a pitcher and shortstop from Trinity Episcopal; Seth Cutler-Voltz, a right-handed pitcher from Henrico; and Taylor Perkins, a pitcher and infielder from Dinwiddie.

Until the Football Bowl Subdivision gets a playoff system, one of the most popular methods to burn time between a regular-season finale and a bowl game will continue to be whining about how you got gypped out of playing in “the big show.” This season is no different.

Pedro Taylor stood outside his Miami- Dade County home and spoke of the person who killed his son, Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor. “I think one day he’ll come to grips with himself and say, ‘You know what, it was senseless’ and he’ll turn himself in,” said Taylor’s father, the Florida City police chief.

Models flaunt game faces

Almost three years ago, Kelli Lemon’s creation, the STRUT fashion show, debuted at VCU. Since then, the STRUT fashion show has become a well-known and anticipated extravaganza on the VCU events calendar. Lemon, who is the show’s assistant director, is proud of how STRUT has grown.

of Representatives passed the Prevention of Violent Radicalization
and Homegrown Terrorism Bill on Oct. 23.

The bill has been criticized heavily because many find
it is a threat to our privacy and freedom of speech.

The library is busy, but are students?

It’s only Thursday, but raise your hand if you have already suffered from a library hangover. The fall semester is winding down, and James Branch Cabell Library has been open for 24 hours every day since Sunday, Nov. 25, for Library Lite All Nite. For those of you who don’t know, a library hangover is the terrible morning-after haze that follows many hours spent working on final projects and papers.
