Freshman soccer player shines on Senior Day
On Senior Day at Sports Backers Stadium, it was a freshman who shined for the Rams. Jorit Loehr (Bremen, Germany) netted two goals for VCU, including the game-winner in overtime, and added an assist to lead the Rams to a 3-2 win over Towson. The Rams entered the weekend with just six points in conference play and under increasing pressure to close out their final matches to qualify for the CAA tournament.

Thoughtful dissent has seldom looked or smelled as good as the heaping helping served up by the Bread & Puppet Theater at Monroe Park on Sunday. The oldest self-supported nonprofit theater in the country, Bread & Puppet is bringing its righteous message to Richmond, and from the looks of things, the theater was well received.

‘Mythbuster’ talks explosions, busts hit show’s myths
When Tori Belleci was 19, he wanted to blow stuff up. So, Belleci and his friends decided to ignite a pipe bomb in his backyard. “We’re lucky we didn’t get killed,” Belleci said. After the explosion sent shrapnel into a neighbor’s lot, Belleci found himself on the run from police, who wanted to charge him with a felony.
