Drag queens danced and
shimmied at the 3rd Annual
Drag Ball Saturday night.
Queer Action sponsored the
ball, and group representative
Felicia O’Donnell said the event,
which raised more than $500
for the Fan Free Transgender
Clinic, brought 125 people to
the Commonwealth Ballroom.
“We had two sets of performers.
We had professionals,
and we had some amateurs,”
O’Donnell said.
Tiffany Devereaux of night
club Godfrey’s was among the
drag queens featured.
O’Donnell said she is pleased
with the turnout, but the first
Drag Ball, which took place two
years ago, still boasts the highest
attendance numbers.
“I think that this year, if it
hadn’t been Halloween weekend,
we would have had (a)
higher (number of) attendees,”
she said.
