The Rams took to the course for the
first time in nearly a month Saturday at
the Hagan Stone Park Invitational. The
team’s time off proved to be beneficial
– VCU finished second overall out of the
18 schools involved and improved by an
average of 86 seconds from its last outing.
Senior Danielle Williams (Virginia

led the way for the Rams with top-15

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Sophomore Myriam Bouchard (Quebec,
Canada/Cardinal Roy) earned CAA
Player of the Week honors on Monday for
her performances last weekend. Just two
days later, she was recognized by “Soccer
Buzz” as a member of the National
Team of the Week. Bouchard caused a
key turnover in the second half against
Drexel and lofted a perfect feed to junior
Jasmine Riley (Arlington/Wakefield),
who added an insurance goal to give the
Rams a 2-0 win. In addition to anchoring
the back line of the stifling defense,
which has not allowed a goal in 442:10,
Bouchard netted her second goal of the
season Friday at Delaware.
