VCU hosts national golf tournament

The VCU golf
team hosted the
VCU Shootout
Monday and
Tuesday at Hermitage
Country
Club in Manakin-
Sabot, just
outside of Richmond.
The Rams
finished in a tie
for seventh with
North Carolina
and Southeastern
Louisiana with a
score of 1-overpar
(865). Penn
State won the
tournament with
a three-round
total of 19-underpar
(845). Senior
Alex Brown
(Richmond/Belmont
Abbey
College) was the
best player for
VCU, finishing
tied for 13th at
2-under-par.
