VCU Police set sobriety checkpoint

VCU Police targeted intoxicated drivers Saturday night with
a sobriety checkpoint along the 1000 block of Main Street.
The checkpoint was funded through a Zero Tolerance Grant
from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. The National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported almost 17,000
people, including 347 Virginia residents, were killed in alcoholrelated
motor vehicle crashes in 2005, the most recent year
the statistics are available.
