Roland returned to the hardwood for the Rams as well. He blocked 11 shots and averaged 2.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in 2006-2007 as a key member off the bench. Roland had two standout games against George Mason University down the stretch. In the Feb. 8 match-up he fi nished with 10 points and four rebounds. On March 5 Roland got 12 points, three rebounds and a block as VCU took home the CAA Championship.

His hard work in the classroom didn’t go unnoticed either. Roland was named to the CAA All-Academic team for the 2006-2007 season.
