He is a man of action, he is a man of honor and he is a man of duty . here comes Dr. Tran! Using a classic gag, Lone Sausage Production’s almost eight-minute short focuses on an argument between a five-year-old boy and a movie preview narrator.
The animation opens with five-year-old Tran eating an apple. Soon an unseen narrator joins him and claims Tran is an American doctor, as well as a dashing special agent, and is the greatest action movie hero the world has ever known.
The short develops with humorous word play and comical antics that include a clip in 3-D and words from the consumers. Dr. Tran is said to appear in more than 30,000 hit films, including such titles as “Dr. Tran Visits Satan,” “Dr. Tran Doles out the Harshness” and “Dr. Tran 3-D.”
Lone Sausage Production has also made numerous Dr. Tran shorts, all equally funny, which consist of “Summer Splash,” “Roybertito’s 60-Second Spot,” “Dr. Tran’s Quiet Log Time,” “Dr. Tran and the Toy Cack” and “Dr. Tran’s Peanut Butter Square Hula Quest.”
