MEN’S BASKETBALL
Senior guard B.A. Walker (Onancock, Va./Nandua) was named All-District First Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). This award makes him eligible for the NABC Division I All-American team.
In CAA tournament action, the Rams will play the winner of the William & Mary vs.

In CAA tournament action, the Rams will play the winner of the William & Mary vs. Georgia State game on Saturday at noon. If VCU wins that game, they would play at 3 p.m on Sunday in the semifinals. If they in turn win that game, the championship game will be Monday at 7:00 p.m. All games are hosted at the Richmond Coliseum located across from the Medical Center Campus. Admission for students to VCU games is free, however there is a charge for all other games.
GOLF
The Rams came back from three shots down to win the Argonaut Invitational, hosted by the University of West Florida. VCU was a 1-under-par 575 after two rounds and finished even at 864 (289-286-289). CAA rival Old Dominion was 4-under-par after two rounds, but finished in second at two over. Freshman Rafael Campos (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Baldwin School of Puerto Rico) won the individual title, firing a 7-under 209 (72-67-70) for the weekend. Freshman Lanto Griffin (Blacksburg, Va./Blacksburg) was also in the top ten, finishing tied for fourth at 4-under-par.
BASEBALL
The Rams fell to 4-4 Tuesday with an 8-2 loss to the Liberty Flames. Chris Jackson (Midlothian, Va./Manchester) went 2 for 4, including his first homerun of the season in the second inning. Jared Bolden (Lynchburg, Va./E.C. Glass) continued his hot streak by also going 2 for 4. His batting average is now .400. VCU is back in action this weekend against Radford.
