WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The Lady Rams overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat UNC Wilmington 76-64 Thursday night. Krystal Vaughn (Baltimore, Md./Lake Clifton-Eastern) led all scorers with 25 points. Quanitra Hollingsworth (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) recorded her ninth double-double of the season and the 23rd of her career with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

VCU dominated the “hustle stats,” getting 19 points off turnovers, 17 points on second-chance baskets and 16 points on fast breaks.
MEN’S TENNIS
The 17th-ranked Rams split the weekend to 10-4 with a shutout of George Washington University on Friday then a loss to unbeaten North Carolina Sunday. Petr Olsak (Novy Jicin, Czech Republic) won at No. 1 singles, but the Rams lost 4-2.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
The 14th-ranked Rams also split the weekend, starting with a 6-0 sweep of cross-town rival University of Richmond. They slipped to 12-3 on Sunday with a 4-2 loss to No. 32 South Florida despite the doubles win.
