Review: Angra – ‘Aurora Consurgens’

Angra released their long-awaited album “Aurora Consurgens” Tuesday, daring to follow up 2004’s “Temple of Shadows,” which received worldwide praise.

“Temple of Shadows” was amazing, there is no arguing that, so I had very high expectations of this new album. After waiting almost two years, I am glad to have this in my hands and in my ears.

For those who have not heard Angra, this is a great chance. I would really recommend this new album as an introduction to the band. It is a bit more straightforward than “Temple of Shadows” and more aggressive than “Rebirth.”
