Virginia Commonwealth University’s women’s volleyball team has been all dressed up for the big dance for the past week with no place to go.
That was until Sunday, when the Rams learned they will head to Chapel Hill, N.C., for their first- and possible second-round games of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament.
At a selection show gathering, the Rams learned the first opponent that stands in the Rams’ way is 14th-seeded Purdue on Friday.
“They are very a tough, well-trained team,” head coach James Finley said.
