More than just a face

Taylor Behl’s name is recognizable to most, if not all, VCU students by now. Even more identifiable is the photocopied image of her face, which is on fliers plastered on almost every bulletin board, window and telephone poll on campus and surrounding area.

Your Turn – Letters to the Editor

Unescorted

Around midnight last Wednesday, I called the university’s escort service from the library and requested to go to Ackell Residence Center. Since I ride the escort frequently, I knew that it could arrive promptly or take forever. I paced back and forth in the forum of the library, praying the van would arrive in the next two minutes.

Opinion In Brief

The disappearance of VCU student Taylor Behl has grabbed the national media’s attention as the distance of time from Sept. 5, the day she was last seen, grows impossibly longer. Unlike previous missing persons cases that have made national headlines, however, in the age of the Internet and blogging there are those who are using the virtual world to make assumptions about the real one.

Peta At VCU

I just wanted to say you need to cover PETAs attendance at VCU. They are being bombed by the black student union(come tomorrow and see), despite the fact that the president of the VCU black caucus visited the booth earlier today and said she has no problem with it. We are thinking there may be […]

Students play cupid

In the past week, Americans have seen something they may not be used to in a president: admitting responsibility, explaining in clear terms what went wrong and providing possible solutions. It’s a welcome change and hopefully a trend that will continue.

In times of crisis the president’s main job is to comfort the public and provide a basis for hope.

Every Time I Die – ‘Gutter Phenomenon’

Every Time I Die seem to have really grown up on their latest release, “Gutter Phenomenon.” With songs that flow much better than their previous release, “Hot Damn!” and many more catchy hooks, ETID seem poised to take over the world.

This album is perfect for an evening of over-indulgence of the social kind.
