Danes provide prostitutes for the disabled

The Danish government is under attack for paying for its disabled citizens to have sex with prostitutes.

The official “Sex, irrespective of disability” campaign pays sex workers to provide sex once a month for disabled people.

The legal guidelines advise: “It could be of great importance that the caregiver speaks to the prostitute together with the person in their care, to help them express their wishes.”

But opposition parties have attacked the regulations, claiming it is an immoral way of spending taxpayers’ money.

Social Democrat spokeswoman Kristen Brosboel said, “We spend a large proportion of our taxes rescuing women from prostitution. But at the same time we officially encourage caregivers to help contact with prostitutes.”

But Stig Langvad of the country’s Disabled Association said the politicians critical of the plan are showing “double standards.”

“The disabled must have the same possibilities as other people,” he said. “Politicians can debate whether prostitution should be allowed in general, instead of preventing only the disabled from having access to it.”

Dog shoots hunter

A Bulgarian hunter was shot by his own dog when he tried to knock a bird out of its mouth with his gun.

Vasil Plovdiv, 35, was shooting quail in Rasgrad in the northeast of the country with his German pointer when the dog, which had retrieved a bird, refused to drop it.

According to police, Plovdiv tried to dislodge the dead quail from the pointer’s mouth with the butt of his rifle but the dog sprung at him, knocking the trigger and peppering the hunter’s chest with shot. He was treated for chest injuries at the local hospital.

Wife cuts off husband’s penis

A Thai woman cut off her husband’s penis after he asked her to make love one more time before he left her for another woman.

Saithong Wantha, 53, then asked neighbors to take Udom Phorit, 35, to hospital while she turned herself in to police, The Nation reported.

Neighbors got hold of Udom’s sister, but they could not find the severed organ.

They had to call Saithong on her mobile phone. She told them she had tossed it behind the fence in the front yard.

Nearly two hours went by before surgeons at Khon Kaen University’s Srinakharin Hospital could operate. Finally, they reattached Udom’s penis, but said there was only a 50-50 chance it would function properly.

Saithong told police at Kosum Pisai that she cut off Udom’s penis in a fit of rage because he was leaving her. She hoped he would stop philandering and stay with her if he could no longer function sexually.

“I love him and I don’t want him to leave,” she said.

Mugged three times in an hour

A German man who was mugged in a nightclub was mugged again two more times while waiting for the police.

Reiner Hamer, 27, from Oberhausen, lost his wallet containing $144 and his mobile phone when three men attacked him in the toilet of his local nightclub.

He called police from outside the club using a friend’s mobile, but while he waited for them to arrive, he was approached by three other men who stole his watch and cigarettes.

As he leaned back against the wall to recover, another five men approached him and again threatened him, stealing his jacket and the last of the small change.

Maggots on the menu

A German restaurant claims to be fully booked for weeks after adding maggots to the menu.

Dishes at the Espitas restaurant in Dresden include maggot ice cream, maggot salads and maggot cocktails.

The restaurant is importing the “nutritious and extremely tasty” maggots from Mexico.

Espitas owner Alexander Wolf said, “We are the first in the world as far as I know to start importing them.

“What started out as a bit of a joke has exceeded all expectations. We started serving them about a month ago, and now we have guests spreading the word to their friends, and we are now fully booked for weeks ahead.

“Most are disgusted but try them out of curiosity or for a dare, and are actually amazed at how good they taste. Many people come back again, and usually bring more friends with them.

“We serve maggot salads, fried maggots with cactus and corn, maggot desserts such as maggots in ice cream or chocolate sauce, and of course maggot cocktails.

“The maggots have proved to be such a success that I’m now preparing my next project: a delicious traditional Mexican dish of ant eggs and grasshoppers in several variations.”

Sarah Azubi, 17, said, “I had them deep fried, they were crunchy like chips and tasted a bit like nuts, with a soft juicy bit in the middle around a crunchy shell.”
