Nurse arrested for beer festival porn movie
A nurse and two cameramen were arrested at the Munich beer festival for filming a porn movie on the city’s famous big wheel.
The 21-year-old registered nurse, unnamed due to German privacy laws, and her two acquaintances were spotted “filming sexual acts” by three Italian tourists in another carriage of the ride.
The Oktoberfest tourists alerted authorities, who detained the nurse and the filmmakers, a 25-year-old student and a 30-year-old teacher.
Munich police released a statement saying, “The trio were spotted in the carriage with filming equipment.”
“The 21-year-old suddenly disrobed and produced a sex toy that she began to use while the other two filmed her.”
The three have been charged with public indecency.
Puppy politics
A New Zealand man succeeded in registering his pet dog to vote in the country’s general election.
Peter Rhodes sent his Jack Russell terrier Toby’s application form to the election authorities signed with a paw print.
And he gave the dog’s occupation as rodent exterminator.
The animal was duly registered as Toby Russell Rhodes in the Otago constituency and sent a voter’s card but did not try to vote in the polls.
Mr. Rhodes, of Queenstown, said he was protesting over “bureaucratic nonsense” he had encountered while trying to divide his land for development.
Electoral Enrollment Center national manager Murray Wicks told the Otago Daily Times: “It’s an offense, and whoever’s done it will be in the hands of the police.”
Primary schoolboy wins lottery
A boy still in primary school has won a $48.8 million lottery jackpot in Italy.
The boy’s win came after he went to a local shop during his lunch break to buy a ticket with his pocket money.
The boy, not named, hit the jackpot on the Italian national Superenalotto after buying his ticket near Naples, national news agency ANSA reported.
Under Italian law, children are forbidden to gamble, but they are allowed to take part in the national lottery.
Raffaele Umbriano, spokesman for the lottery competition, confirmed the prize had been won by a schoolboy.
Couple went to wrong funeral
An elderly couple could not believe their eyes when they went to their “dead” friend’s wake – and he opened the door.
Maurice and Shirley Dodwell thought they had just sat through the cremation of their pal Roy Spencer.
But when they arrived at his house for the wake, they found he was alive – and they’d been to the funeral of another Roy Spencer.
Mr. Dodwell, 76, who had spotted his friend’s name in a death notice in a local paper, said, “It was a terrible fright. I thought I’d seen a ghost.
“I had to go and sit in the car for a while because I was so shocked.”
He and wife Mrs. Dodwell, 70, had been determined to pay their last respects and took their son Kevin Dodwell, 40, to the crematorium service.
When they heard fellow mourners mention a wake, they drove to Spencer’s house.
Retired busman Spencer, 62, said, “They turned up in black suits and ties – and were stunned when I answered the door.
“I may have had three heart attacks and a bypass but I was happy to assure them I was still alive and kicking.”
