Rams women’s soccer team shuts out
cross-town rivals
Pernilla Jansson (Enebyberg, Sweden) scored two goals and goalkeeper Lauren Hardison (Midlothian/Clover Hill High School) recorded her first shutout of the season as the Rams topped the Spiders 2-0 at VCU’s Sports Backers Stadium Monday.

Women’s soccer VCU’s Sports Backers Stadium should have a sign outside that tells opponents that they have little chance at winning in the venue. In fact no team has ever beaten the Rams at Sports Backers Stadium. The Rams finished 11-0-0 last season at the stadium and have not lost a home game since 2003.

The Danish government is under attack for paying for its disabled citizens to have sex with prostitutes.
The official “Sex, irrespective of disability” campaign pays sex workers to provide sex once a month for disabled people.
Film’s human themes found in translation
“Tale of the Three Jewels” tells the tale of Yusef, a 12-year-old boy growing up in the Gaza Strip, where people live in fear because of military violence.
His father is in jail. His brothers are on the run. He lives in poverty with his mother and sister.
Step show delivers amid changes
In its 15th year, VCU’s Fall Block Step Show has risen to a new level of performance with louder steps and a more organized show.
Despite not having an afterparty, the show was a crowd pleaser. Senior Joe Ellis, a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., said he wasn’t disappointed about the university not having an afterparty.

Wait is over for ’60s thriller
“Wait Until Dark” has been running on a tight schedule since production began. Normally the cast would have been picked by the end of last semester. Instead, casting for the play began the day after school opened this fall, and rehearsals started immediately.
