Building a better Monroe Park

For the past decade, students and citizens of Richmond have been trying to bring improvement to a languishing Monroe Park, which has been virtually unusable to the local residents.

Because of recent interest and cooperation from the Richmond City Council, Virginia Commonwealth University now has an opportunity to make a great change to the Monroe Park campus – as well as the city of Richmond – by actually making improvements.

The Student Government Association recently conducted a poll among students requesting recommendations and specific suggestions to improve Monroe Park; however, we are once again asking students for further suggestions for improvement of Monroe Park and for further involvement from the students so that all students are afforded ample opportunity to provide input in this process.

If you are interested in helping to make this campus safer, more aesthetically appealing and more engaging please e-mail me at the address below.

Please join me in this process of change so that together as we continue to develop the potential of Virginia Commonwealth University and the Richmond.
