In the Sept. 13 article, “Student groups sponsor candlelight vigil,” the story reported that Muslim Students’ Association president Ali Faruk received an e-mail from a person who said “they were offended … by my belief in Allah and the Jihad.”
The Commonwealth Times clarifies that what was said was “that someone else randomly blamed (Faruk) for supporting Jihad.” Please see (the Editorials & Letters section) for the letter to the editor.
In the same article, an editor incorrectly wrote a cutline for a picture of Mark Brewster that stated “Mark Brewster voices support for the Bush administration.”
The editor was in error.
The CT apologizes for the error.
