Colombian buzzards too fat to fly
A Bogota, Colombia garbage dump is home to a flock of fat buzzards. An environmentalist is working to save nearly 7,000 buzzards that cannot fly due to gaining so much weight from eating trash. After their hunger wasn’t satiated at a more sanitary garbage dump outside another city, which gets rid of trash in 15 minutes, the buzzards turned to the Bogota facility. The Colombian environmentalist is asking officials to return the buzzards to a place where they can fly and relearn to eat carrion, their natural food.
Coroner teaches gun safety the hard way
An Indiana coroner shot himself in the leg while trying to teach people gun safety at a boat ramp. David Tourney, coroner for Monroe County, was checking to see if the gun was loaded when it went off, and a bullet hit him in his left leg. Tourney was taken to Bloomington Hospital and then transferred to Methodist Hospital. He was scheduled to have surgery last weekend and expected to stay in the hospital for three to five days, according to the Associated Press.
Man gets hitched with sock eyebrows
An English man, whose friends shaved off his eyebrows at his bachelor party, glued sock particles above his eyes to walk down the aisle. Steve Simpson, from Sheffield, didn’t tell his fianc
