While you were out

‘Punk’d’

Ashton Kutcher loves naked men. To prove this, he got one of his cronies, Dax, to walk around naked in a store where Jessica Alba (“Dark Angel”) was shopping. At first she was amused, but when he started going on about being European and doing high-kicks she couldn’t help rolling her eyes. The best punk’d thus far has to be Ashton’s pranks on fellow “That ’70s Show” castmate and friend Wilmer Valderrama. Al played the boyfriend of a girl that Ashton had slept with, and while Ashton, Wilmer and Danny Masterson were touring their restaurant he started destroying Wilmer’s Escalade. Poor Wilmer was getting teary and looked like he was going to vomit. The only thing that he meekly said the whole time was “Yo man, that’s my car.” A group of girls also got a taste of how fun it would be as Ashton’s personal assistant. They had to deal with loads of trouble, including Tom Arnold’s obnoxious son. Next week look for Justin Timberlake to step in the punkers seat as Dax and Al teach Kelly Osbourne how to change her image.

‘American Idol’

I cried, truly I shed a tear when Simon made two statements that could very well define the outcome of the show. Clay receiving resounding praise from Randy, Paula and the bass player from Earth, Wind and Fire. He was let down, however, by Simon who said that his performance, within the context of the competition, was horrible. I think Simon let America down with that assessment. Simon didn’t seem to like anybody, and many of them were quiet good, Joshua Gracin held his own and Trenyce did quite well too, but according to Simon they were both dreadful. The only contestant Simon loved was of course, Ruben. Simon even went so far as to say that he thought Ruben should win the competition. Don’t get me wrong America, Ruben has a fantastic voice, excellent for recording, but, as a performer, I just don’t see it. Where is the excitement? Where is the charisma?
