In the wake of the 2014-15 VCU men’s basketball season ending, the Rams will now have to adjust to life without senior starters Briante Weber and Treveon Graham. Without their production, look no further than sophomore JeQuan Lewis and junior Melvin Johnson to take the reigns when the season tips off next November.
The sight of a hobbling Briante Weber in tears with a heartbroken Treveon Graham and Jarred Guest signified the end of an era on March 19. The season was over and so was the dominant run of a senior class that embodied HAVOC and the spirit of VCU basketball.
VCU men’s basketball fell short against the Ohio State University in the second round of the NCAA tournament, 75-72, ending the collegiate careers of seniors Treveon Graham, Briante Weber and Jarred Guest, the winningest class in the program’s history.
Entering the game part of a four-way tie for first, VCU and the University of Dayton battled to stay atop the Atlantic 10, with the Rams ultimately losing out in heartbreaking fashion against the Flyers, 59-55 on Saturday, Feb. 28.
