
SGA elections close, official results this week

With elections nearing, SGA and the Appropriations Committee are brainstorming new ways to improve budgeting system.
Originally a debate for Monroe Park SGA president and vice president on was to be held Monday night. But the candidates are running unopposed, so the event turned into a chance for student to ask questions of their future representatives.
The Monroe Park SGA announced last week that they are no longer accepting funding applications for this semester after draining a total budget of $427,000.
According to the constitution of the Monroe Park Campus Student Body of VCU, “It shall be the mission of the Monroe Park Campus Student Government Association to uphold and respond to the demands and wishes of the Student Body they serve including the allotment of funds for student organizations.”
