The first annual VCU Broad Street Mile raised money for 73 organizations and charities on Saturday.
In a combined effort to celebrate the university’s 175th anniversary and raise money for local community organizations, VCU will be hosting the inaugural Broad Street Mile on Saturday, Sept. 28.
VCU Police Department alerted students to an armed robbery that took place on campus early late last night. The incident took place just before 11:55 p.m. in an empty lot near the 100 block of South Laurel Street.
A new complex for VCU’s School of the Arts will soon be housed in the former Richmond Glass Shop building at 814 W. Broad St. Originally a terminal for the Richmond-Ashland trolley line, the property also includes three buildings facing Marshall and Pine streets.
