Making the transition from on-campus to off-campus
VCU is a unique school in hundreds of ways, primarily because of its urban-centered campus. While this is a great place for students to become acclimated to city living, it can make the transition from on-campus to off-campus housing a bit more difficult than on other campuses. VCU doesn’t require students to live on-campus, and has a lottery system for upperclassmen housing, so finding off-campus housing is the route many students take.
How to land off-campus housing
There’s plenty of reasons that somebody may have for wanting to live off-campus. They can find a cheaper option than the upper class dorms, they don’t have to abide by the rules of the dorms, and they can customize the space however they’d like.
Three sexual assaults at one off-campus party
Three VCU students were sexually assaulted at an off-campus party that was comprised primarily of fellow students early on October 26, as reported by university officials.
