Sophomore outside hitter Romana Kriskova was awarded the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American honorable mention this past December, after already receiving all-region honors for a dominant sophomore season during which she proved to be the true catalyst for the Lady Rams.
With consecutive losses in its final two matches of the regular season, the VCU volleyball team dropped to 11-3 in the Atlantic 10, losing sole possession of first place in the conference. The Lady Rams fell to Saint Louis University 3-0 Saturday, Nov. 9 before suffering their first home loss of the season to Duquesne University 3-1 on Friday, Nov. 15.
With a 3-0 win over George Mason University on Oct. 18, the VCU volleyball team claimed its eighth victory in nine matches, improving its record to 18-5 on the year.
After dropping consecutive matches against Wisconsin and North Carolina State, the VCU volleyball team bounced back to start Atlantic-10 play in impressive fashion, with four consecutive victories against coference opponents.
