Against Atlantic 10 conference foe Fordham University on Friday, Oct. 3, the team’s leading scorer, senior forward Maren Johansen, assisted senior forward Alex Gogolin for the game-clinching goal, proving she’ll play whatever role necessary to help her team win.
VCU women’s soccer got back to their winning ways after successfully defeating the University of Pittsburgh 1-0 on Sept. 12. The Lady Rams have now won two out of the last three games to improve their overall record to 2-3-2 on the season.
With a 1-0 victory against Massachussetts this past Saturday, the VCU women’s soccer team opened its Atlantic 10 schedule on a positive note and stretched its unbeaten streak to six games.
After a rough start to the season, the VCU women’s soccer reeled off four consecutive victories in the last three weeks to push their record to 5-4.
