After another first place finish, this time in the Christopher Newport University XC Invitational, the men’s and women’s cross-country teams now look ahead to the Atlantic 10 championships on Nov. 1.
VCU track and field athletes Brandon Ruffin and Kiara Porter received the men’s and women’s Atlantic 10 performer of the week awards, respectively.
Slam Nahuatl, VCU’s performance poetry organization, competed in the annual College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational in Colorado earlier this month, finishing with a win in slam spirit and second-place overall in the competition.
The VCU Women’s Basketball team finished its season on March 21 with a 94-76 lost to Princeton University in the opening round of the National Invitational Tournament.
Mohamed Adam has had a remarkable run, so to speak, thus far in the 2013 season. The cross country runner has posted top-10 finishes in his first three meets of his junior season.
