For many students on the VCUQatar campus, their Monroe Park counterpart is a foreign university 7,000 miles away that just happens to share their university’s name. This perspective changed last week for 15 VCUQatar students from when the Richmond campus hosted a weeklong exchange of art students from their sister campus.
The student-run Ramstock VCU Film Festival will screen short films from local and international filmmakers on April 27 for the fourth and final year.
The Students for Social Action celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 6 the anniversary of the Living Wage Campaign, a project at VCU to build awareness for income inequity for VCU employees, particularly adjunct teachers and Aramark employees. Students participated in a panel forum in the Richmond Salons.
VCU hired the school’s first permanent representative of students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) this semester because of the collaborative efforts of Student Equality and the Office of Inclusive Excellence.
