Students met with author Dale Brumfield in Cabell Library yesterday to discuss the history of independent and student-operated print publications in the city of Richmond.
The Writing Center’s new branch opened in in the Tompkins-McCaw Library on August 27. The branch is currently on a trial run and will be operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m.
Students for Sensible Drug Policy on Monday night hosted an event to teach students their rights during encounters with police. The event, called “Know Your Rights: Surviving Police Encounters,” presented some informational tips to students about the rights they retain during encounters with police officers.
Students will no longer be able to ride Greater Richmond Transit Company buses free of charge — and some aren’t happy about it.
