
Ball’s top-5 finish help golf surge

VCU junior golfer Adam Ball extended his streak of top-25 finishes to four, leading his team to a respectable showing in the Irish Creek Intercollegiate tournament.
The VCU golf team competed in the Gary Koch Invitational April 6-7, at the Gaston Country Club in Gastonia, North Carolina. The Rams finished eight out of 15 teams, tallying a total score of 289 and shooting 25-over par. VCU’s plus-1 outing was it’s best of the spring.
After a four-month hiatus, men’s golf teed off the Spring season with a sixth place finish in the Wexford Plantation tournament on Feb. 23-24.
The VCU men’s golf team traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina to wrap up the fall season, competing in the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate the weekend of Oct. 25-26. The team finished sixth out of 13 before entering their four-month hiatus.
VCU men’s golf team earned a fifth place finish at the Janney VCU Shootout, on the clubs of junior Adam Ball, junior Steffan Harm and sophomore Hanish Nagrani in the final round to finish the tournament with an overall team score of 884.
