VCU students browse latest Parisian fashions

During spring break, 22 VCU students and faculty traveled overseas to observe some of the latest styles in the Paris fashion industry. While there, the team took day trips to Lyon and Versailles, though the trip focused primarily on Paris.

“In the fashion industry you don’t just work here in the United States,” said Donna Reamy, a faculty member who accompanied the group on the trip.

VCU weaves its way to accreditation

As VCU’s director of assessment, Jean Yerian oversees the implementation of an outcomes-oriented program to assess and improve the quality of student education for VCU’s reaccreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

“We need to know what’s going on so we can know where to concentrate our efforts,” she said.

Student group takes Earth-friendly actions

When David “Matt” Fitzgerald set foot on the Virginia Commonwealth University campus in August 2002, he arrived with a mission: He planned to initiate a campaign to encourage students to vote for environmentally conscious representatives. Furthermore, he wanted to enlist the help of an environmental student organization.

Wednesday, March 19 An unknown person committed fraud valued at $246.60 at Sanger Hall. Saturday, March 22 Personal property valued at $2,000 stolen from the East Clay Street Parking Deck. Sunday, March 23 Male arrested at the VCU Police Department’s Patrol Office for two counts of committing fraud, receiving money, goods and services, two counts of committing credit card fraud, two counts of committing credit card forgery and petit larceny.
